Think på svenska

"This young lady is wearing her father's shirt as a skirt. She was very proud that she was able to do this with no additional stitches just folding and tucks. This is why I come to Stockholm." (The Sartorialist)

On the left: I love her entire look, it's vintage, chic and romantic at the same time. Impossible not to notice her graceful hairstyle here. On the right: I'm not into hoods, nevertheless i liked how she pulls it off so boldly. And the cat patterned skirt + colourful tights and socks got me.

"I love the level of sophistication that the teenagers in Stockholm possess." (The Sartorialist)

How to wear total black and not even for a second to appear plain. On the left: From the nail polish to the trendy clutch bag. Simple and effortless, nevertheless, chic and feminine. On the right: Gorgeous vintage dress with tights and classic pumps.

"She is one of the most sophisticated 15 year olds I have ever met. Actually I should say she looks like a very sophisticated young lady, I have no idea if she really is but to pull off that look she has to be basing it on some internal elegance." (The Sartorialist)

Grey and Black. On the left: Vintage inspired hat + converse all star sneakers. Hi-Lo always get me. On the right: Love how she wears the scarf.

Scott S is such a great snapper, he's really changed things with his blog.

The girl in the first picture is quite clearly a genius..

In relation your "Im dying to see.." part of your sidebar; have you seen Atonement yet? I just saw it this afternoon actually, and I'm in love with it! It was so fantastic. Perfect in every moment..

Internal elegance. I like that. It's the reason two similar-looking people can wear the same thing, and one pulls it off better. Panache. Style.
In the last two pics, I love the use of scarves to frame the face.

Gostei mais dos visuais com as cores mais escuras (preto e cinza). Fica elegante e sofisticado.

Love it all. Even if it's not my style, the people wearing it always seem to work it and truly love what they're in. That's the definition of style to me.

Molly: Red hair is the most beautiful hair of all:-p

discothequechic: I agree! The Sartorialist doesn't only find very stylish people, he also captures more than the look, he captures the essence of the look and the person in it. I haven't seen "Atonement", it hasn't opened here:-( That's great that you loved it! I'm really looking forward for it.

Seraphine, I agree with you.

Kamila, preto e cinza é meio caminho andado pra um look sofisticado, eu tb gosto muito.

Emma, you're so right.

Lady N, me too. And Stockholm is definetely a great source of style inspiration.

Emsie, thanks! I'm also mesmerized by the hability of some people in creating uncommon ways of dressing up.

Oh my these women have brilliant style! I love especially the girl in the red plaid coat and 30's hairstyle, so my style and I am in love with that 1960's mod outfit - mini dress, houndstooth, where did she get those mod shoes??? Seriously I need to know, I am obsessed with mods!
The girl with hood has got so much attitude and I am in shock that the girl in the uber chic white trench is 15!

Romeika said...

Kat, i couldn't agree more. I'm also mesmerized by that 1960s outfit, although i have no idea where it comes from, it's a shot from The Sartorialist and he rarely asks people where they bought what they're wearing. I remember the only thing he mentioned was that is a Chanel inspired outfit. I love houndstooth patterned jackets. And yes, the lady in the trench coat is 15:-) Crazy.

discotheque confusion said...

Yes, I agree and thats why he has become so popular!

Well, definitely go and see it when it'd out, I just hope I haven't built it up too much now!

What a great comment Scott gave that girl on top, so as the girl with the inner elegance. And he's absolute right! If you see a girl walking around in that in our village, she would came of as crazy or an other stupid unfashionable word...But I think she's rockin!

The more I look at the third outfit, with the cat skirt and the colorful socks and handbag, the better it appeals to me. I want that!

Romeika said...

Muze1990, the outfit is so simple and effortless, but it's all about the inner elegance, she's indeed rockin!

Seraphine, i want the cat skirt too!

Girls, the shirt/skirt is such a mystery to me..*lol*

Once again, thanks for the comments!

The "Fashion Feline" on the left is simply Perfect : The mesmerizing power of sexy high-heeled Sandals (a fortiori with refined nail-polish) to sublimate a monochrome "total-Black" Style . . . The delicate art of "Feminissimes" details . . .
