It doesn't seem like yesterday, does it?

It's hard to believe these three pictures above were taken less than a month ago. It's funny how summer meticulously became autumn in september, and how soon the green leaves will turn brown or golden to later fall. Summer is like youth, for more cliche it might sound. One really has to enjoy it as much as possible, day after day, after all, it doesn't last forever, and once is gone, it's really gone. Until the next year, of course, unlike one's life in that Pink Floyd song. There's always hope, so there's no reason to look grumpy or depressed like people I see in the train every morning, only because today we woke up and there was not a single spot of blue in the sky (and not yet now). It's indeed very cloudy, but at least it's not windy. And yes, I did have to turn the radiator earlier than usual today. It's not even 6pm. Let's not allow this temporary darkness to affect our mood, shall we? It's not even real winter yet, so technically there's plenty of light outside. There are far more important things to be depressed or pessimistic about in our world, take the war, for example. If you're sick of the news, stick to the movies. Redacted, Lions for Lambs and there's more to come. Horror, however, it's pretty much the same as it was yesterday, as films like La Reine Margot attest. Why concentrating in the negative, then, only because of a gray sky? Think and do positive things. For me, that's a cosy home. Lighting candles and seeing a good film in the sofa while drinking warm tea or hot chocolate. And then the smell of fresh bread coming from the kitchen, baked by my sweet husband. Knitted wear. Some people are even happier with less, like "the girl" in Once, who beautifully played a piano that didn't belong to her, while she wasn't selling flowers in the street.

Romeika, adorei as fotos e seu texto! Você, que dizia que eu era uma otimista incurável, até que está muito positiva! :-)

Concordo com tudo que você escreveu. Para que nos agarrarmos ao negativo??? Vamos pensar positivo!!!!

I love those pictures!! Oh and yeah i know i hate it when people just turn grumpy just because of the weather. Why? I don't get it's not like it's going to affect them in a bad way?;s On the bright side we can wear thick tights, coats, berets, chunky scarfs, boots, and many more fashion that we've been missing for a while now:D!! Oh and i love sipping hot choco on a winter night aaaaah:D

Sometimes we really do have to give our backs to the horror that intimidates us so much and just think and do happy thoughts and things. Yesterday, for exemple, I was really shook out by the horrific human depiction in the beautiful film Blindness. I felt depressed and really agonized. To feel a bit better, I watched Hellboy II and just had some fun with a smart, funny, touching adventure spectacle. We need that a lot. Some comfort after so much sadness.

Ciao!

Kira, realmente!

Kamila, estou tentando! Mas vc eh uma Poliana nata mesmo:-)

Styleexpress, I'm not sure if it's the weather, it's just a guess, as I've heard people complaining about it many times. Thing is they complain a lot about many things... I love fall fashion too, especially cause it's not that cold yet. Much harder to dress when it's winter, I think.

AsianCajuns, me neither! Just trying to become psychological ready for it, though.

Wally, films, books or art in general make me feel like that when the topic is related to reality and humanity, as it's in "Blindness". I feel a bit like that concerning the book's theme as well.
