Before & After

My mom finds the picture on the right charming whereas John describes it as artistic. I wanna believe the second option suits this "recreating the reality" attempt better than the fact my mom finds me pretty despite this trash looking make-up and a far from sweet facial expression. After all, it wasn't supposed to be me, none of these pictures are self portraits. After purchasing this yellow dress and pairing it with blue tights, I was instantly reminded of the classic Disney Snow White colours, and was moved to play around with my camera, which result I would call the what happens after the "and they lived happily ever after". Our post-modern Snow White rapidly acquires a morbid tendency of eating apples, despite the fact the fruit clearly brings her back to not very pleasant times. Times that were not all bad, if one has in mind she could fulfill her cleaning obsession in a daily basis, something she can't now, due to her luxurious living in a castle with hundreds of cleaning ladies. Poor Snow! Desperate and lonely, she sinks in self-destruction by drinking all champagne the kingdom's money could afford... She's nothing but a faded beauty now.

Romeika, eu concordo com sua mãe e com o John. E sempre fico curiosa para saber como você faz estes auto-retratos... Você mesma que programa a máquina ou alguém tira as fotos???

You should read "the rose and the beast" by Francesca Lia Block! She wrote her own versions of some classic fairy tales..I think you'd like them :)

You look amazing, edgy, but amazing nonetheless. I can see how John would find it artistic, it could easily be described as such.

You make a perfect Blanca Nieves! I especially like your take on it... there's no such thing as "happily ever after". = )

Sam, if you think it looks a bit rough, I sort of achieved what I wanted with this shot.

Kamila, eu uso um tripe e programo a camera. Se alguem tirasse as fotos, nao seriam auto-retratos, nao eh? :-) E reitero o q disse no texto, as fotos acima NAO sao auto-retratos.

Maja, it sounds like a great tip, thanks!

Jayne, the concept is a little silly and playful (hence the text), but glad you approve it hehe ^.^

Thank u, everyone!

oh i love love LOVE this dress. please tell me you didn't score it off eBay. I just never have any luck finding gems on that site...

Ness, I found it on ebay:-) Topshop in DK is too expensive, plus, I never find what I'm looking for in the stores. Ebay is the perfect place to find their stuff cheaper, if you're lucky.
