The greatest show on earth. Really?

Once I was a devoted Britney Spears fan. I used to buy all her CDs, DVDs, and wouldn't miss a magazine cover she graced, hence nearly all Rolling Stone, Cosmopolitan, People, among other issues I left behind at my parents' home in Brazil. And although it's been five years I haven't truly followed her career, except for infamous headlines that hit you no matter what, I was looking forward to seeing her circus concert this saturday here in Copenhagen, after all, I waited ten long years to see her performing live (yup, I was a fan from the early begginings...). What a disappointment. Yes, she lip-synchs every single song, but we all knew that in the first place (and it does surprise me seeing the danish press nagging about it), but at least she gives one hell of a performance, right? Wrong. Britney Spears has no longer the same moves. During most of the time she was slow and hardly danced, and if it wasn't for her dancers, I assume she would have been totally lost on stage.

Even more frustrating was the fact the stage level was so low, making it impossible to see the actual concert, except for her brief appearances in one side or another, as she mostly remained in the center of the circle. But the worst of all was her attitude. She hardly opened her mouth to say anything at all, except for a couple of sentences which were clearly rehearsed. Nevertheless, she's gotten screaming fans who are easily pleased with anything she brings up. If it wasn't for these blind (and apparently deaf) creatures, I'd say Britney Spears and her fat ass should seriously consider retirement.

Ai, que peninha de galinha! I was never truly a Britney fan (although I loved the song/videoclip 'Stronger'), she was so beautiful then...I think her 'breakdown' was just...too far gone, too low to recover from :(

Oh how the mighty have fallen :( It's so sad when your past childhood heroes show their age....

Wow. I thought her comeback tour truly would be a comeback

Hehe, adorei seu texto, mesmo sendo uma situação um tanto chata mesmo. Até que gosto de suas músicas, mas não sabia que o novo show dela era dessa maneira - realmente não deve valer a pena...

So sad. I think she's more famous for her mess of a personal life than her music now.

what a bummer. she should have enough money by now (even with all of her legal fees) to retire in peace with her kids! she's just getting old, you know? old and tired.

That is sad. Perhaps this comeback wasn't really her idea.

That's too bad. I'm not sure it's her age that's showing so much as her mental head space. Sad, really.

Aw, that's too bad that her concert didn't live up to expectations. I always heard her concerts were amazing . . . I guess age catches up with everyone though.

I agree with Ambika, I doubt that age has anything to do with this.
It seems her heart is not in it any more but she has to keep going 'cause somebody has to pay the bills!

Sonia, I agree.
