Wonderful Copenhagen

I came back from Copenhagen yesterday after spending five days in the city. It's been chilly, cloudy and a little rainy most of the time but it doesn't matter when you are in such a wonderful city. Now that i'm back in Randers, i start feeling what i could call "post-Copenhagen depression". :-(
Argh.

It wasn't the time i managed to visit all places i had in mind, but i've seen most of what i had planned. i visited castles, the Ny Carslberg Glyptotek, Tivoli, the botanic garden, the deer's park, the round tower, walked on Strøget, dined in Nyhavn, saw the little mermaid statue and other Copenhagen's classic touristic places, and i still had a little time to go shopping something for myself (it was sales on the self-claimed biggest mall in Scandinavia, Fields).

Since it's summer time, the city was a lot more alive than the last time i was there (in february), besides the danes, lots of tourists from all over the world could be seen outdoors. In one single day i could hear japanese, both american and british english, russian, italian, german and a lot more.

From the few bad aspects in CPH i would list the lack of parkering spots (it's a sacrifice to park in the city), the absurd prices (i came from Natal, in brazilian northeast, and the price you pay for a simple cup of capuccino in CPH can still get me shocked), and for the rest, the smokers and the lack of proper laws about smoking in public places. I'm allergic and it gives me some bad problems. Luckily this time i didn't find myself in the company of many smokers. And anyways, that happens all over DK, not only in Copenhagen.

Nevertheless, all these "bad" incidents were nothing compared to the greatness of the city and how delightful it is to photograph it (i took over 1000 photos this time). Copenhagen is really wonderful.

Copenhagan sounds beautiful! I want to go one day. You make little pictures in my mind, but even the words (Glyptotek, Strøget) make me desire to walk those streets. I hate smokers- Well, not the smokers, I hate the smoke. *cough* *cough*

Seraphine, i also hate cigarette smoke, not the smokers, but sometimes when a smoker blows the nasty smoke in the same little square i am makes me hate him/her hehehe

You don't realize you had fun until you had it, if you know what i mean. I always feel more excited about vacas and stuff after I come home that's when it hits me how lucky and what a good time i've had. Anyway i'm jealous you got to go there, it's on my places to visit someday!

But i again hate copenhagen, unfortunately, i made a mistake by choosing this so called nice city to study in international school here, it absolutely sucks, firs of all, Dansh people are wery conservative and make too many rules, city of copenhagane is not nice at all and everything is rediculously expensive for nothing, i have platinum credi crads, but, i still want to move out of this dumpjard and go to the real capital of Scandinavia Called Stockholm or move to USA Beverlyhills.

Anonymous, that really sucks it didn't work to you. I love Copenhagen, but all the times i had been there was as a tourist, so i can't contest your opinion on the city, as i haven't lived there. I agree on the ridiculous prices though. But if you disliked the capital, i wonder what would think of other regions like the city i live... I've found conservative people in Randers, and in my superficial impression of Copenhagen i think that most of the people there can be really different than the rest of Denmark, which is quite entirely provincial.

Anonymous, just because YOU don't like it, doesn't mean you have to say all that shit. I'm from Denmark, but I'm not from Copenhagen, and yes, I agree about stuff being expensive, but not about the rule thing.

And how dare you call Stockholm the "real" capital of Scandinavia. There is no real capital as Scandinavia is not a country.

But too bad it didn't work for you :'(
