Copenhagen Today

I never finished telling the rest of the story about that second time i went to Copenhagen a couple of weeks ago, but it doesn't matter, i'm in the danish capital once more, just for a couple of days though. Danish summer hasn't changed much, it's awful as ever, but hey!, today it didn't rain, let's thank the gods for a summer day with no rain. Oh well, at least i didn't buy a ticket to Roskilde festival, and i nearly did.
The indoors pictures above were taken at the Thorvaldsens Museum, Denmark's oldest art museum, which opened in 1839. The museum basically consists in a big collection of sculptures buildt in marble and bronze, most of them are works made by Bertel Thorvaldsen, the danish artist who had the idea of setting the museum up. In addition to the artist's own works, the museum has other four exhibition areas, including Thorvaldsen's collection of paintings by artists contemporary with him, as well as his collection of antiquities (Egyptian, Roman, Greek and Etruscan).
If you're in Copenhagen and you just don't know what to do next, just take a walk towards Strøget, there's always something entertaining going on there, and you won't have to spend much to see it. Just a 10 kkk coin will make the street artist happy. For the rest, i found the coat that is going to make my fall a lot funner, and i hope part of the winter as well. It wasn't on sale, it was a newcomer in the store where i purchased it, but it was very worth it. I'm happy:-)

Looks beautiful. I went to Copenhagen when I was very small to visit my Uncle who lives very close to Copenhagen.

I am surprised the museum let you take pictures like that. Many don't allow them anymore. You should go back for the Roskilde festival.

Bjuxx

Jennifer, thank you:-) Luckily today the weather was good, though it rained at some point, but it was mostly warm.

Thank you everyone for commenting, wish you a nice weekend:-)
