Between two (almost) extremes

When it comes to style, I love dresses, skirts, dolly shoes and accessories and all sort of feminine garments, but I'm also deeply attracted to mannish wear. However, I tend to incorporate a male style without losing my sense of femininity when it comes to details, like wearing pearl necklaces or a waist belt, and the best of all, a red lipstick. I wonder if I'd ever pull off a total boyish look like Diane Keaton in Woody Allen's Annie Hall. I doubt it. Although if I had to mention a lady who wore male garments wonderfully, that would have to be Katharine Hepburn, above all the others. Being really fond of dresses makes it difficult to me to follow such an ideal like hers, especially during this time of the year, when it's getting warm and one feels this sudden urge of showing off legs, in tights or not, after all, the months of jeans and pants are behind, at least for now. The first picture is the first time I wore this silk black dress, which I love for being slighty romantic and delicate. I thought I should make a brief description of what I'm wearing:
First picture:
Tony Cohen dress
Sofie Schnoor mary janes
(...)
Second picture:
My husband's custom tailored pants and shirt
H&M belt
Accessorize hat

É verdade Romeika!
A Claudia está mesmo diferente nas fotos, há quem diga que é botox...heheh sei lá, mas ela já tem 38 anos.
No entanto, mesmo com os truques, ela está mesmo divina!
mil beijos!

I adore mensware as well, so every so often I throw in a vest or oxfords, but i dunno about the suit itself, either you end up looking like charlie chaplin or a business woman, rarely Kate Hepburn haha.

love the picasso quote, so true! have you ever read the little prince? one of my favorites and very much like that quote

oh and Romeika, I have to thank you. You are the 6th comment I've recieved on my last post and the only one who ever bothered to comment on the designer I posted on. haha, see this is what I meant last time when I said its irritating how some people don't even seem to read the post. oh and there's a reason why you've never heard of Yitan, because he's fairly new and I actually read about in NYLON, not vogue

As duas fotos estão lindas, Romeika!!! Eu acho que, neste estilo "mannish", você segue mais a linha Katharine Hepburn, pois sempre usa um acessório diferente que acaba destacando a roupa.

Bom final de semana!

I like the delicate touch and nostalgic mood of your first picture. Did you take it yourself? Very nice indeed.

Kira, obrigada! beijos.

Jayne, I have read the little prince long long time ago, at the time, the book didn't have a great impact on me, although I liked it. And no problem about my comment on ur blog, it's always nice discovering new designers, so it was cool to read;-)

Kamila, obrigada!:-) Quem dera eu fazer a linha da "great kate" hehe beijos e bfs tb!

Grinda, I took it myself, and it was meant to have this exact atmosphere, glad you noticed it, thanks! You can see more of this shoot on my flickr page, if you'd like to.

Carolina, obrigada!

Cait, thanks!

I feel like I'm the same way. I'm either old-fashioned girly or sort of tom-boyish rocker. Why choose one or the other when you can do both?

Thanks for your comments on my blog!

Darling, you look totally divine! I love both pictures but really really really love the first one, as you look just soooooo pretty - sitting there peacefully holding a bunch of flowers besides your cute mary-jane.

You also have spiced thing up by contrasting those 2 tones - pinkish purple & light lilac! Beautiful!

You're lucky you can pull off both looks! I look silly in mannish clothing even though I love the idea of androgyny. You also have an incredibly photogenic face =)

You look stunningly beautiful.
I like encorporating "male" looks into my wardrobe too, if you mean jeans and a tee. I might even flirt with an androgynous look. But basically, I just want to look nice and be comfortable most of the time. I hate being uncomfortable.

Aisha, glad u liked it:)

Cassiano, Tem mais outro poster nessa parede, soh nao saiu na foto hehe

Times of Glory, Thank u so much for the sweet comment;-)

Meg, thank you:) It's funny u say that, I don't think my face is photogenic at all, you see I'm trying to hide it in a way:-p

She's dressing up: Thanks!

Seraphine, Thanks for the "stunningly", haha ;-) I know what you mean by hating being uncomfortable, I feel the same, that's why I'm always wearing flats or sneakers in my every day life. I really would like to buy some loafers for a change, but haven't found some I like.
