Yesterday at the Hirschsprung museum I was reminded by the beautiful painting on the left about two things I wanna find: a vintage white crochet collar and a long plaided dress. I'd wear the second with heavy practical boots and the first with plain tees, tunics and even dresses. Images: L.A. RING's Forår (1895), Underbaraclara, unknown (anyone knows about this editorial?)

Lovely...now if spring would just come a wee bit early...
Ever since I was a little girl I've loved the whole "pioneer" look. Those dresses are lovely. Also, it's such a relief to have your legs covered up sometimes, no?
oh i love these dresses!very nice:)
uhh, I love the Hirschsprung museum too. It is such an inspiring place and it totally makes me think about old times and historical style. It's been a while since I've been there - but you've made me want to come back.
The clothes, it won't come before may, not the "actual" spring:-S
Andrea, yes, indeed!
Aubrey, me too:)
Line, it was the first time I went there, such a beautiful place, wonderful paintings, many of them so vivid and real, almost like a picture, I was mesmerized by the technique. I've seen something similar in a museum in Skagen, but I liked this other one better.
Gostei dos vestidos da foto do meio! :-)
i really love these images!
I LOVE that dress on the right. Love. I can't even describe. Plus, though this is not clothes-related, I love that girl in the pictures hair.
I love the third picture; it couldn't be more perfect.
the picture on the left reminds me of the sound of music
same on the right
i don't know why but the plaid and dressyness of it reminds me of some stylish evangelist
it's almost impossible to find anything vintage here it's horrible :(
good luck on your plaid-dress hunt tho! if only spring'd hurry up and send a note to summer to get a move on too
the picture to the right i loveeee
come by my blog sometime
love,
the w.b.
Tagged you for "7 things nobody knows about me" in my blog today! :)
I love those dresses, they're so inspiring.
the wonderful thing
about having a vintage
white crochet collar
is you can use it
to sit on
in public toilets!
