All that we see or seem is but a dream within a dream.

Some pictures from a few weeks ago... Melon ice cream, easter egg, flower bouquets thrown away outside a cemetery, someone's balcony, pink nail polish, first blossoms.

spring awakening.

this may
Spring awakening at least in this part of the world takes uncountable cups of tea, pieces of cake, cold feet, frozen hands, the expected frustration... This year, it snowed in march, again. And this cherry tree picture was taken in may last year, as the same tree is still barren. I don't thrive in constant gloomy atmospheres, I can sleep until forever if the sight through my window is nothing but infinite grey walls. I'm not those sunny people who bright a room with their smile, neither those who instantly fall asleep after a long warm day, who claim summer makes them lazy and sweaty (oh, those poor things!). No, I'm one of those who never get tired of warmth, brightness, birds chirping, bare legs, ice cream, flowers... But the very same birds from last year have rebuilt the very same nest in the very same spot in the very same tree I see through my window. Sometimes it rains, sometimes the sun shines... It's a long awakening, nonetheless I wait.

we are not dead yet.

I went for a walk and found out there are actually 5 cherry blossom trees not so far from where I live. I suppose there are 3/4 different kind cherry trees out there, and some of them last a bit longer. Who knows. I'm so sick of the pictures I take, they're all the same... Feeling mediocre.

sad.

It's depressing that now, the few cherry blossom trees no longer look that way. They took so long to bloom, but faded in such haste. Man, I hate the danish spring.

*the gelato picture was taken in Italy last year.

"Sometimes there's so much beauty in the world I feel like I can't take it."

Pictures from a cherry blossom tree near the place I live. It's nothing but an ordinary tree now, which is always so sad. But that's what it makes it so special. It blooms in all its glory, but its beauty quickly fades... The pictures turned out overexposed, but I like it somehow. Beauty such as this makes it up to days like today, when I don't feel completely happy. This or a new pair of shoes. Or perhaps a piece of freshly baked chocolate cake. How about both?
